House of the Lord

Verse 1:
We worship the God who was.
We worship the God who is.
We worship the God who evermore will be.
He opened the prison doors.
He parted the raging sea.
Our God, He holds the victory.

Chorus:
There’s joy in the house of the Lord.
There’s joy in the house of the Lord today.
And we won’t be quiet.
We shout out Your praise.
There’s joy in the house of the Lord.
Our God is surely in this place.
And we won’t be quiet.
We shout out your praise.

Verse 2:
We sing to the God who heals.
We sing to the God who saves.
We sing to the God who always makes a way.
Cause He hung upon that cross
Then He rose up from that grave.
My God’s still rolling stones away.

Chorus:
There’s joy in the house of the Lord.
There’s joy in the house of the Lord today.
And we won’t be quiet.
We shout out Your praise.
There’s joy in the house of the Lord.
Our God is surely in this place.
And we won’t be quiet.
We shout out your praise.

Bridge:
We were the beggars. Now we’re royalty.
We were the pris’ners. Now we’re running free.
We are forgiven, accepted, redeemed by His grace.
Let the house of the Lord sing praise.
We were the beggars. Now we’re royalty.
We were the pris’ners. Now we’re running free.
We are forgiven, accepted, redeemed by His grace.
Let the house of the Lord sing praise.

Chorus (x2):
There’s joy in the house of the Lord.
There’s joy in the house of the Lord today.
And we won’t be quiet.
We shout out Your praise.
There’s joy in the house of the Lord.
Our God is surely in this place.
And we won’t be quiet.
We shout out your praise.

Holy Forever

Verse 1:
A thousand generations falling down in worship
to sing the song of ages to the Lamb,
And all who’ve gone before us and all who will believe,
Will sing the song of ages to the Lamb.

Pre-Chorus:
Your name is the highest, Your name is the greatest,
Your name stands above them all.
All thrones and dominions, all powers and positions,
Your name stands above them all.

Chorus 1:
And the angels cry, “Ho–ly.” All creation cries, “Ho–ly.”
You are lifted high, Ho–ly, Holy forever.

Verse 2:
If you’ve been forgiven and if you’ve been redeemed,
sing the song forever to the Lamb.
If you walk in freedom and if you bear His name,
Sing the song forever to the Lamb.
We’ll sing the song forever and amen.

Chorus:
And the angels cry, “Ho–ly.” All creation cries, “Ho–ly.”
You are lifted high, Ho–ly, Holy forever.
Hear Your people sing, “Ho–ly,” to the King of Kings, “Ho–ly.”
You will always be Ho–ly, Holy forever.

Pre-Chorus:
Your name is the highest, Your name is the greatest,
Your name stands above them all.
All thrones and dominions, all powers and positions,
Your name stands above them all.

O Come  to the Altar

Verse 1:
Are you hurting and broken within,
Overwhelmed by the weight of your sin?
Jesus is calling.

Have you come to the end of yourself,
Do you thirst for a drink from the well?
Jesus is calling.

Chorus:
O come to the altar;
The Father’s arms are open wide.
Forgiveness was bought with
The precious blood of Jesus Christ.

Verse 2:
Leave behind your regrets and mistakes.
Come today: there’s no reason to wait.
Jesus is calling.

Bring your sorrows and trade them for joy;
From the ashes a new life is born.
Jesus is calling.

Chorus (x2):
O come to the altar;
The Father’s arms are open wide.
Forgiveness was bought with
The precious blood of Jesus Christ.

Bridge (x2):
Oh, what a Savior, isn’t he wonderful;
Sing alleluia, Christ is risen.

Bow down before him, for he is Lord of all.
Sing alleluia, Christ is risen.

Chorus:
O come to the altar;
The Father’s arms are open wide.
Forgiveness was bought with
The precious blood of Jesus Christ.

All Who are Thirsty

Verse:
All who are thirsty, all who are weak,
come to the fountain.
Dip your heart in the stream of life.

Let the pain and the sorrow
be washed away
in the waves of His mercy
As deep cries out to deep.  (We sing)

Chorus 1:
Come, Lord Jesus, come.
Come, Lord Jesus, come.
Come, Lord Jesus come.
Come, Lord Jesus come.

Verse:
All who are thirsty, all who are weak,
come to the fountain.
Dip your heart in the stream of life.

Let the pain and the sorrow
be washed away
in the waves of His mercy
As deep cries out to deep.  (We sing)

Chorus 2:
Holy Spirit, come.
Holy Spirit, come.
Holy Spirit, come.
Holy Spirit, come.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For yours is the kingdom, and the power,
and the glory forever.
Amen.

God Speaks to Us

Sermon: “Overheard: Your Will Be Done (Jesus’ Prayer)”

Matthew 26:36-44

36 Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.” 37 He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38 Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”

39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

40 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter. 41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

42 He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”

43 When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. 44 So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing.

2 Corinthians 12:7b-9

Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Holy, Holy, Holy Is the Lord of Hosts

Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts.
The whole earth is full of His glory,
the whole earth is full of His glory,
The whole earth is full of His glory;
Holy is the Lord.
